Piktochart

Today in class we learned how to use Piktochart.  Here is the example that I made:

This was just something I created quickly, there are a variety of ways one could use this in the classroom.  I think I would mostly use it as a graphic organizer.  The template I chose was free, I did notice that you will need a membership for the majority of the templates provided.

  1. I like your pictochart! My first grade students are just starting a unit on plants and your pictochart was inspiring! I am thinking of having my students make their own pictocharts (in small groups) as a culminating activity!

  2. I'm not sure why we tried to make ours so complicated! I think that may be part of the reason we were so turned off by it. Yours came out so great! I like the simplicity and straightforwardness of it. It would be really helpful to use with students. Thinking about what we were trying to do, without the premium account we were unable to customize and tweak it to work for us. We should have totally gone more of this route and picked something more concrete so that we would have had a better experience. I think I'll have to try it again, someday.
